Early Years Services Open Weekend

Children sitting on a line on the floor

Event Details

Bayside's early years services will open their doors for the annual Open Weekend on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 March.

Kindergartens, playhouses, occasional care centres, Bayside's Toy Library and selected maternal and child health centres and libraries will be open to showcase their services.

For families with young children, this is a great opportunity to see the many options that are available to you and to find out more about a service you may be interested in. Children are welcome to attend.

What you can expect when you visit

  • Staff and educators on site ready to answer questions
  • Activities showcasing what the service offers
  • Information regarding fees and timetables
  • Information relating to enrolment or membership
  • Information on how you can get involved as a parent
  • Guided or self-guided facility tours

The event precedes the opening of the Kindergarten Central Registration period for 2020 so if you are undecided about which kindergarten to register for, this event should not be missed.

There is also an opportunity to learn more about the planning for a new All Abilities playground at Thomas Street Park in Hampton. Drop in on Sunday between 11am and 2pm or Have Your Say online bayside.vic.gov.au/haveyoursay
