During this workshop you will learn about Stephanie's art practice and create your own feminist collage.
Whilst completing her Masters, Stephanie researched the representation of the female body throughout art history. Feminism is an important aspect of her practice and through it she hopes to keep the feminist discussion well and truly alive.
In this session you will create collage around the feminist theme, the topic being feminism and food. The workshop will consider the role women have traditionally taken as mothers and grandmothers of the family unit and the task of cooking. Participants will keep their works however the artist will invite participants to scan their work so that she can create a living blog for the project.
The project is suited to 14 years or more.
What to bring
Pages from magazines, photos, newspapers or books or anything that you connect with that are suited to the theme. Stephanie will bring backing paper.
