    Just in time for ANZAC Day, we have Ross McMullin coming to Brighton library with "Life So Full of Promise", his second multi-biography about Australia’s lost generation of World War I.Ross is an award-winning historian and biographer, a renowned storyteller and author of "Farewell, Dear People", which was awarded the Prime Minister’s Prize for Australian History. In this sequel, "Life So Full of Promise", Ross has again combined prodigious research and narrative flair in a collection of interwoven family stories about forgotten Australians who had radiant potential.

    Experience the joy of movement and connection in our Dance Movement program for individuals with dementia and their carers. Through simple activities, we create a space for expression, using rhythm and music to relax and reconnect. All abilities are welcome, with activities adapted to individual needs. As a carer support initiative this program provides a supportive environment for both carers and individuals with dementia. Please wear closed shoes for comfort and safety during sessions.

    Have a chat and reconnect! Chatty Cafe is a global movement to help bring people together, reduce social isolation and build social connections within the local community. Chatty Cafe events are being held in a variety of locations across Bayside. Venues provide a chat table where community members, with the support of volunteers, can come together and have a chat! So, if you are someone who wants to connect more with your local community, meet new people, or just enjoy the company of others why not try a Chatty Cafe?

    You are invited to drop into Castlefield Community Centre for a free cuppa and chat. Our café is a place to connect with others and form new relationships. Everyone is welcome and there are volunteers who will greet you on arrival; Please come alone or bring a friend. Our cafe runs every Friday during the school term. It is a free event and no bookings are required.

    Bayside Farmers' Market, Sandringham - 4th Saturday Every Month

    The Bayside Farmers Market comes to Trey Bit Reserve (Jetty Road), Sandringham at 8am-1pm on the fourth Saturday of every month. You’ll discover fresh produce direct from the farm, gourmet delights, take-away food & coffee, all at a fabulous beachside location. So get your family and friends together and join us! The Bayside Farmers Market is held on the 4th Saturday of every month at the spectacularly located Trey Bit Reserve, Sandringham, a fabulous beachside location off Jetty Road near the Sandringham Yacht Club.
