Portrait Workshop with Michelle Zuccolo

The focus of this workshop is to enhance and develop your practical skill base inspired by the human face. Participants will strengthen their understanding of form, embracing the pleasure and challenge of working from observation. Tips, advice and demonstrations will be provided developing a deeper understanding of anatomy, proportions, perspective and contours in the human head. The potential of composition will be explored, with an emphasis on expressing the individual character and emotion of the sitter. Drawing directly from a model, the head will be explored from various angles manipulating line and tone through several techniques. Constant reference will be made to past and contemporary artists.
