Elsternwick Park Public Golf Course

Elsternwick Park provides a challenging nine-hole course and is a favourite course for a quick game before or after work in summer. The course has 17 bunkers and is well maintained. The clubhouse offers a competitively priced bar and dining room, and there are outdoor barbeque facilities.

Brighton Golf Club

The Brighton Golf Club is an excellent 18-hole, par 67 public course set in parkland with tree-lined fairways and sloping greens. It runs a fully stocked pro shop with friendly and knowledgeable staff, including PGA professionals. The course is maintained in the best possible condition, it has excellent practice facilities, including two practice putting greens and a grass practice range for teaching and clinics, and the clubhouse is available for hire.

Sandringham Driving Range

Open all week, the Sandringham Driving Range is fully floodlit and provides excellent golf practice facilities. Golfers of all skill levels are enabled and encouraged to master every facet of the game over a 250-metre range with five target greens. The range boasts 30 undercover driving bays, outdoor grass tee positions, a manicured championship practice and putting green, a short game area for pitching practice, Swing Vision automated video kiosk, individual lessons and group clinics, and a licensed cafe.

Sandringham Golf Course

Sandringham Gold Course operates all year and offers an 18-hole, par 70 public course, which presents a pleasant challenge with its variety of shot-making, bunkering, small greens and clever design. The club holds competitions in three grades and has affordable golf for weekend non-member players.

Royal Melbourne Golf Club

Royal Melbourne’s two courses, the East Course and the West Course, are each ranked among the best in the world. Royal Melbourne has hosted numerous national and international events, most famously the 1959 Canada Cup and the 1970 and 2003 World Cups. It was selected by the PGA Tour to hold the President’s Cup for the first time outside the United States in 1998 and again in 2011. Visitors are welcome from interstate or overseas recognised golf clubs with membership identification cards and letters of introduction from the home club. The courses are not suitable for beginners.

Victoria Golf Club

The superb world championship course at the Victoria Golf Club is one of Australia’s finest. It’s ranked among the top ten courses and hosts major tournaments including the Australian Open Championship. The beautifully landscaped par 72 course is designed to challenge both the amateur and professional golfer. The clubhouse has residential accommodation with views of the grounds and the course.
