Young artists Ashley Charlton, 14, and Tiana Sirgiovanni, 19, have been named winners of the 2017 Young People of Bayside Art Exhibition following its unveiling last week.
“Mercy” a black and white pastel on paper - Ashely’s Junior category winning piece and “6 ties, One Spy” a photo on canvas – Tiana’s senior category winning piece will feature alongside the artistic endeavours of more than 74 other bayside artists now on display at Council’s ARTrium Exhibition Space in the Royal Parade offices in Sandringham until 13 September.
The exhibition, featuring artists aged from 10 to 19 years, provides a glimpse of the artistic skills and talents of young Bayside residents and is now in its 16th year.
The annual exhibition is presented by Youth Services and the Bayside FReeZA committee.
The winning works will tour the City’s libraries until 20 December 2017 with Beaumaris Library 20 September to 18 October, Brighton Library 25 October to 22 November and the Hampton Library from 29 November to 20 December.
