Bayside Acquisitive Art Prize finalists announced

Thirty-two finalists have been announced for this year’s 2018 Bayside Acquisitive Art Prize.

Finalists were selected from more than 650 entries, with artists from Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales and the Northern Territory taking part.

A high calibre of entries were received, demonstrating the exhibit’s renowned reputation.

This year’s finalists represent a broad range of contemporary painting styles.

Now in its fourth year, the Bayside Acquisitive Art Prize is open to Australian artists in all painting disciplines. With $19,000 in prizes awarded to winners across various categories, it has become a popular exhibit for both local and interstate artists alike.

The 2018 Bayside Acquisitive Art Prize exhibition will be on show at the Bayside Arts and Cultural Centre from 18 May until 8 July, with the winning work to be acquired by the Bayside City Council Art and Heritage Collection.
