Come on Baysiders, let’s launch Christmas

After a tough year, Bayside is set to shine with a festive season of music, entertainment and lights and more.

Mark Friday 3 December in your calendar and come along to help us ‘Light the Rock’ at Black Rock Village and foreshore.

The event is the official launch of our COVID-safe Christmas season of events across our shopping villages, parks and foreshores.

At Black Rock on 3 December - from 5 to 10 pm -there’ll be a variety of performers throughout Balcombe and Bluff Roads including a beautiful choir, stilt walkers, jugglers, face painters and of course, Santa.

From 6pm to 9pm, there’ll be an MC and live music on the foreshore stage and our new Mayor Cr Alex del Porto will switch on the Clock Tower lights at 8.45pm.

On Saturday 4 December, we have jazz at the Beaumaris Concourse from 11m until 2pm and at Seaview Village there’ll be a choir, a roving Santa and stilt walkers from 11am to 1pm.

Sandringham foreshore diners and shoppers will be surrounded by festive cheer on Wednesday 8 December as entertainers roam the streets from 5pm to 8pm.

Why not fill a hamper and picnic in Landcox Park, Brighton on Thursday 9 December as giant elves on stilts and other entertainers add that Christmas sparkle.

Enjoy a summer evening of live music from a family-friendly cover band on Concourse Green at Beaumaris on Friday 10 December form 6pm to 9pm.
