Community garden proposal for Brighton East

Join us in Little Brighton Reserve to have your say on a proposal for a community garden.

“Community gardens bring people together for so many good reasons. Growing your own food individually or in a collective encourages community connection and is great for your health and wellbeing. We want to know if the locals who love Little Brighton Reserve will support a community garden in their patch,” said Bayside Mayor, Cr Alex del Porto.

Consultation is open on the proposal via Have Your Say and drop-in information sessions until 25 April 2022.

We want to know if you support a community garden and more indigenous planting at the proposed site, and what you think about the proposed designs. You can also express an interest in joining a group to manage the garden, should the project proceed.
