COVID-19 Community support

The health and safety of our community is our top priority. We are working with the Department of Health and Human Services to prioritise support for our community to stay safe during the recent local outbreak.

We’re here to provide assistance where needed including supporting those in mandatory isolation as they wait for negative test results.

If you’re feeling concerned or need assistance, particularly if in mandatory isolation, please call us on 9599 4444 to speak with one of our COVID-19 Support Team.

Services available for vulnerable residents

Our staff adhere to strict health and hygiene guidelines as outlined by the Department of Health and Human Services.

Council provides a range of services designed for older residents, those with a disability and their carers and residents experiencing vulnerability. Services provided include:

  • Meal delivery
  • Shopping
  • Transport
  • Cleaning assistance
  • Showering and hygiene assistance
  • Safety related home maintenance
  • Respite care
  • Social connection through a daily chat with one of our staff

COVID exposure sites 

If you have visited any of the public exposure sites listed on the DHHS website, you must get tested and isolate until you get a negative result, or quarantine in accordance with DHHS directives.

Stay safe Bayside

The key things we can all do to keep well and stay safe are:

  • practice good hand hygiene
  • remain at least 1.5m apart
  • wear masks indoors
  • get tested if you are unwell
