COVID exposure sites in Bayside

Monday, May 31, 2021

New COVID-19 exposure sites have been listed, including two in and around Bayside.

  • Brighton Beach Hotel, 4 The Esplanade, Brighton on Sunday 23 May between 3:09pm - 4:52pm
  • Turtle Cafe Elwood, 34 Glen Huntly Rd, Elwood on Monday 24 May between 7:42am - 8:20am.

Anyone who has visited these 'Tier 2' locations during these times is strongly encouraged to urgently get a test and isolate until they receive a negative result.

This is in addition to the earlier announced 'Tier 1' exposure site Body Fit Training, Hampton Street; if you visited here between 5:35pm - 6:25pm on Monday 24 May or between 5:21pm - 6:29pm on Tuesday 25 May you must immediately isolate, get a coronavirus (COVID-19) test, and remain isolated for 14 days.

If you, or your friends or family, went to any of the exposure sites listed at the times indicated, please follow the advice given for that particular site.

If you have cold or flu like symptoms, such as a cough, fever, sore throat, shortness of breath or runny nose, even if these are mild, you should get tested for COVID-19.

Getting vaccinated helps protect you from getting sick from COVID-19. The vaccines being used in Australia are very effective at preventing serious illness and loss of life from COVID-19. Vaccination centres are open to people who are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.

Please tell anyone who is concerned to call the coronavirus hotline - on 1800 675 398, then press 0 (zero) for an interpreter, if required.
