Customer service online and by phone

In light of the ever-evolving Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Council has implemented some changes to the way we deliver our customer service.

Our customer service front counter at 76 Royal Avenue is now closed to the public to protect the health and safety of our community and staff.

Most of our face to face services are available online however we are mindful that not everyone has online access and we’re currently working towards offering an alternative service to members of our community who can’t get online.

In the meantime, please call one of our wonderful Customer Service officers on (03) 9599 4444 who will be able to help or see below.

Pet pick-ups

As of Tuesday March 24 2020, lost dogs found by Council can be collected by appointment directly at the Lost Dogs Home. Please call 9599 4444 if you have lost your dog.

Sharps exchange

For any sharps exchanges, please call the Environmental Health Department on (03) 9599 4417 to make an exchange appointment.

Food and green waste bags

Food and green waste bags are available for purchase at your local supermarket. Be sure to make sure they are certified compostable.

Parking permit applications

These can be submitted online here. If you need support or have questions please telephone our Local Laws team on 9599 4626. Approved parking permits will be posted out.

Paying parking fines

You can pay parking fines online here. If you have a dispute please telephone Infringement Review on 9599 4663.

Paying rates

You can pay your rates online here or over the phone by calling 1300 725 338. Council offers a full range of payment offers. If you are experiencing financial hardship please call 9599 4444.

Animal registration

Animals can be registered online. Please call our Local Laws team on 9599 4626 for assistance.

Planning

Planning applications can be filled out online. Our planning team continues to provide advice via phone or email. Please email planning [at] bayside.vic.gov.au or call 9599 4444, followed by option 2 for further assistance.

Building

Building Permit Lodgements and Payments can be done via Private Building Surveyors - Lodge a Building Permit

Report and Consent Applications can be mailed to building [at] bayside.vic.gov.au 

Cash payments

If you can only make a cash payment, please call 9599 4444. We are working on finding a solution to accepting cash payments whilst adhering to Governments guidelines around social distancing.
