Dendy and New Street intersection upgrade

We are undertaking the final works to improve safety at the intersection of Dendy Street and New Street in Brighton.

After successfully completing the first stage of upgrades in April, the works will again resume during the upcoming school holiday break on 27 June and take two weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Works involve installing new pedestrian refuge islands, minor footpath expansion, associated line marking of bicycle lanes and pram ramps to improve accessibility and make it safer for pedestrians navigating this busy intersection.

There will be some disruption while we complete these works with detours and road closures during this period to enable works to be safely completed.

Appropriate signage and traffic management is in place to guide road users through and around the works.

This is the final stage of works being delivered to upgrade the intersection of Dendy Street and New Street

Construction will occur between standard EPA allowed hours, Monday to Friday.
