Hampton library closed for upgrade

Please bear with us while we create great new spaces and improved library experiences at our Hampton Library branch. Hampton Library will close on Sunday 27 March until late June for an exciting upgrade.

Improvements include increased floor space and new, modern accessible shelving on wheels to allow for more adaptable spaces for different community needs and activities. The after-hours returns chute is being replaced by a smart bin that reads and checks in items so your returns are processed immediately.

We’ll also be introducing secure extended hours access to library members. Who will be able to swipe a card and have after- hours access to the Hampton Library.

Please take the opportunity to visit our other branches during the temporary closure. If you haven’t been to Sandringham since the renovation, you are in for a treat. The beautiful, modern space is just down the road from Hampton and will cater for all your library needs. It’s also the closest branch to return your library items, as the after-hours chute at Hampton will be closed.
