Landscaping upgrades at Donald MacDonald Reserve

We’re returning to Donald MacDonald Reserve to improve the carpark, footpaths and garden beds, and install new bench seating. These works will put the finishing touches on our recent upgrade of the Donald MacDonald Reserve Pavilion.

Works will commence from 20 March and include:

  • Repairing a small section of the boundary fence around the oval
  • Installing additional bench seating in front of the pavilion
  • Repositioning three existing bench seats for better views across the oval
  • Resurfacing the carpark and refreshing the granitic sand footpath
  • Landscaping works to improve the garden areas
  • Installing small timber dividers along the footpaths to better define the garden beds and prevent mulch spill.

Construction on the boundary fence will begin on 20 March and is estimated to take two days, weather permitting.

Works on the carpark, footpath and garden beds will commence from 27 March and are expected to be completed within seven days, weather permitting.

During resurfacing works, the carpark will be closed and there will be limited access to the footpaths adjacent to the playground and pavilion. The playground and skate park will remain open during works.
