Last chance to join this Term’s Bayside Youth Sustainability Leaders program

Bayside’s Youth Sustainability Leaders program is designed for dedicated young people (15-25 years) who share a passion for all things sustainability.

The program aims to help young people:

  • Gain the skills to lead climate action and tackle sustainability challenges;
  • meet other young people that share their passion for the environment;
  • participate in training/learning workshops; and
  • design and deliver innovative projects and campaigns.

The program runs over three modules: Climate Change, Waste & Resource Recovery, and Sustainable Cities, kicking off last year with Module One which focused on climate change and energy. This time around, we’re focusing on Waste and Resource Recovery.

Participants will graduate from the program with a Council-recognised Certificate of Completion.

Module Two of the Youth Sustainability Leaders will run for eight weeks kicking off on Thursday, 24 February. Sessions are held at Sandringham Library each Thursday from 5 - 6:30pm, in the multi-purpose room. Module Two will finish with an exciting day of excursions to some of Council’s waste management facilities, such as the food and green organics processing facility.

Participants do not need to have completed Module One to participate in Module Two.

If you, or someone you know, are between the ages of 15 and 25 and have a passion for sustainability, register for the Youth Sustainability Leaders today!
