Omicron impact on Council services

We have been monitoring and responding to the COVID-19 pandemic for almost two years, adjusting as necessary to keep our services running safely.

We are continuing to do that as Omicron presents a fresh set of challenges, but unfortunately it is now clear the Bayside community will experience some changes to our services.

Like every other sector of the community, the impact of the rapid spread of Omicron has resulted in some of our frontline staff, who deliver services directly in the community, isolating because they have COVID-19 symptoms, have tested positive for Covid-19 or are a close contact of someone who has.

Our office staff numbers are also depleted for the same reason.

We are working hard to keep our services operating as efficiently as possible. However, the drop in staff numbers means we must offer some services differently or in some cases pause them for a period.

The health and safety of our community, clients and staff is as important as ever and we appreciate your understanding and patience as we work through this.

We will keep you informed via our website, social media channels and direct client contact when necessary.
