Parent information session- Teens and Risk-Taking Behaviour

Help your teenagers stay safe and support them navigate challenges in an ever-changing environment.

Join Bayside City Council’s Youth Services, Victoria Police, Taskforce and one of Australia’s leading Adolescent Psychologists, Dr. Michael Carr-Gregg for a parent information session about young people and risk-taking behaviour.

The session will give you the knowledge and strategies to help you understand the challenges that may be experienced by your teenagers and how to have those important conversations. Topics covered include:

  • Bayside and youth safety (Presented by Victoria Police)
  • Youth Resilience Survey – what Bayside’s young people told us through our most recent survey (Presented by Bayside City Council Youth Services)
  • Talking with teens about substance abuse and harm minimisation (Presented by Taskforce)
  • Peer pressure and talking with young people about staying safe (Presented by Dr. Michael Carr-Gregg)
