Registrations open for Garage Sale Trail

It makes 'cents' not to bin it

Garage Sale Trail, in partnership with Bayside City Council, returns to Bayside over two big weekends on 9-10 and 16-17 November.

Clear out and cash in during the Garage Sale Trail as more than 400,000 Australians hit the streets as part of the nation’s biggest secondhand treasure hunt.

Celebrate saving money on everything from the essentials to the pre-loved gems you find. We invite you to participate by hosting your own sale or joining a group sale in your neighbourhood, on one or multiple days over the two weekends.

Pre-loved is planet and pocket friendly - last year, Bayside sellers made an average of $430 through their sales, and saved over 44,300 kilograms of good quality stuff from landfill. You’ll be part of the circular economy in action!

One Bayside participant said it was an “amazingly successful day”, and celebrated the connection it gave them to the “very happy” community.

Registering to hold a sale is free, and you’ll receive:

  • A listing on the national sales map
  • Promotional resources including letterbox slips, directional signage, posters, and more
  • How-to guides and support from Garage Sale Trail experts.

It’s garage sales made easy. Registrations are open from Wednesday 11 September.
