Bayside Community Information and Support Service (BayCISS) is seeking support for their new Pantry Partners program.

BayCISS is a not-for-profit charity which aims to help community members during times of need including emergency and crisis.

The Pantry Partners program is seeking to establish partnerships with Bayside schools and local organisations to benefit BayCISS’s Emergency Food Relief Program.

Schools and organisations will be provided resources and support to establish food drives and other fundraising events.

BayCISS executive officer Rose Paduano said the program will provide community access to vital goods.

“Requests for emergency relief have increased by 30% over the past year and we expect this need to continue increasing,” said Paduano.

“There are many Bayside residents who are unable to afford basics including food, rent, utility bills or transport costs. Pantry Partners will help vulnerable locals access to nutritious food parcels.”

The Pantry Partners initiative is being supported Bayside City Council 's Community Grants Program.
