Wagging their way into the number one spot in the Bayside Pet Expo photo competition last weekend was Harley, the four-year-old Husky (centre) pictured with expo mates Kanga (left) and Scarlett.
Hundreds of pets, and their human parents, flocked down to the Royal Ave Reserve and made the most of more than 30 stalls and lots of free, family fun.
In second place – yes the matching fedora’s definitely caught the judges’ eye – was two-year-old mini Dachshund and his two legged companion Clinton. (see below)
And third place was Kanga, with the sunnies swag, a one-year-old red heeler and kelpie rescue pup. (see below)
“We love the Pet Expo and come every year,” said Harley’s Black Rock mum Jess.
“It was a great day out and the only problem was when Harley arrived home and told his brother, also a huskie, about the fun we’d had,” said Jess.
All three dogs in the winning pic are buddies from the Bayside Dog Owners Group who meet several times a week.
Prizes donated by stall holders will soon be distributed to winners.
The winning pictures were uploaded on Instagram with the #baysidepetexpo.
