Proposed discontinuance of part of unconstructed road - Sandringham Golf Course, Cheltenham

Bayside City Council (Council) gives notice under section 206 and Clause 3 of Schedule 10 of the Local Government Act 1989 (Act), that it proposes to discontinue part of the unconstructed road (Road) at the Sandringham Golf Course, Cheltenham, shown dark grey and outlined in black on the below plan, and to obtain title to the Road in Council’s name. It is intended that the Road land will form part of the proposed redevelopment works for the Sandringham Family Leisure Centre Grounds.

The Road is a road known in title only. The Road is not constructed as a road and is currently enclosed into and used as part of the Sandringham Golf Course. No adjoining owners use the road for vehicle or pedestrian access.

The Road is part of the land in Title Plan 967142W. The balance of that Parent Land is constructed roads being parts of Fern Street, Cheltenham Road and George Street. It is not proposed to discontinue any parts of those constructed roads.
