Proposed Discontinuance & Sale of a Portion of Subterranean Part of Road Adjoining 322-326 New St & 71-73 Bay St, Brighton

Bayside City Council (Council), acting under clause 3 of Schedule 10 and 189 and 223 of the Local Government Act 1989 (Act), gives notice that it proposes to discontinue and sell a portion of the subterranean part of the right-of-way (road) adjoining 322-326 New Street and 71-73 Bay Street, Brighton for $400,000 plus GST. The land to be sold is part of the road described as Lot 1 on Title Plan 954531H.

 

Any person lodging a submission in relation to the proposal must do so before 5:00pm Friday 15 November 2019.

If a person wishes to be heard in support of their submission, they must clearly indicate so in their submission. This will entitle them to appear in person, or by a person acting on their behalf, before a Special Committee of Council to be held on Monday 25 November 2019 at 7:30pm in the Council Chambers, Boxshall Street, Brighton. The meeting will proceed if one or more persons request to be heard in support of their submission.

Any person making a written submission under section 223 of the Act is advised that all submissions and personal information will be managed by Council in accordance with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014.
