Proposed sale of land adjoining 70 Esplanade, Brighton

Bayside City Council (Council) gives notice under 189 and 223 of the Local Government Act 1989 (Act), that it proposes to sell the land at the rear of 5 & 7A Tennyson Street and 70 Esplanade, Brighton, to the adjoining owner of 70 Esplanade, Brighton for $50,000 + GST. The subject land is shown hatched on the plan below.


Any person wishing to make a submission on the proposal must lodge their submission before 5:00pm Monday 8 February 2021 via the below link:

If a person wishes to be heard in support of their submission they must clearly indicate so in their written submission. This will entitle them to appear in person, or by a person acting on their behalf, before a Special Committee of Council to be held on Monday 22 February 2021 at 6:00pm. The meeting will be held at the Council Chamber, Boxshall Street, Brighton, or held remotely via electronic media, and will be live-streamed online at Council’s website:

Any person making a written submission under Section 223 of the Act is advised that all submissions and personal information will be managed by Council in accordance with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014.
