Live soundscape with Asher Bilu

Join renowned Australian artist Asher Bilu as he performs a musical improvisation on the stroviol that responds to his monumental installation Infinicopia (2017-18).  A rare opportunity for audiences to experience another dimension of Asher’s creative life.

Infinicopia is a spectacular 12 x 9 metre immersive installation in the Brighton Town Hall by Asher Bilu and is an adjunct to his solo exhibition Asher Bilu: Early works 1956-79. The work comprises hundreds of ‘modules’, each constructed from a varied number of hand-painted shapes. This vast floor-based installation forms an intricate and expansive sculpture composed of separate interlocking pieces, each with its own stunning complexity.
