Take the online Great Art Detective challenge

Task 1: Study the video

Prepare for the activities and the quiz coming by watching the video below, which is from Fiona McMonagle's current exhibition at Bayside Gallery.

The Park at the end of my road

Task 2: Art activities

A) Did you notice the girl the tree wearing a cat mask? Make a mask out of paper or cardboard that is of your favourite animal – how would your animal move? Can you move like your animal?

B) There were all sorts of magical and real things happening in the park at the end of Fiona’s street. Do you have a park near your house or one that you like going to? Use watercolours or pencils to draw your park. What kind of things happen in your park? What kind of things can you imagine happening in your park?

C) The people in Fiona McMonagle's animation are dancing to a banjo. Make your own dance to your favourite instrument. It could be done on your own or with your family.
