What to do when you receive a kindergarten offer

Accepting your offer is a two-step process - 'accepting' and 'finalising':

Step 1: You have 7 days to accept or decline the offer from Bayside City Council.

Step 2: Your kindergarten will contact you with the instructions to finalise your child's enrolment within the next 7 days.

Failure to complete these two steps within the time-frame will result in an expired offer.

Step 1: Accept/decline an offer for a kindergarten place within 7 days.

Simply click on the accept offer button in the email sent to you.

Failure to respond within the 7 days will result in the offer being forfeited. In fairness to all families who registered on time, we will expire offers older than 7 days and continue to offer places where waiting lists exist.

Step 2: Finalise your child's enrolment.

Your offer acceptance will be received by the kindergarten. The kindergarten will be in touch separately to provide the next required steps to finalise the enrolment at that service. This final step in the process may be slightly different for each kindergarten.

The kindergarten will require completed enrolment forms AND deposit within 7 days of being contacted.

What will I need to provide to the kindergarten to finalise the enrolment?

  • Child’s birth certificate or passport as proof of identity and age;
  • Immunisation History Statement from the Australian Immunisation Register (A.I.R.);
  • Medical/Disability/Behavioural diagnosis and/or action/management plans;
  • A deposit or holding fee (refer to individual kindergarten instructions)

What happens if I do not complete Step 2?

The kindergarten will advise us that Step 2 has not been completed. The acceptance will be cancelled, the place will be forfeited and offered to the next family on the wait-list.
