Council's community bus provides transport for frail older residents or residents with disabilities who are unable to access mainstream public or private transport.
The community bus follows a set timetable and takes clients to pre-determined destinations such as libraries, senior citizens centres, shopping centres and day trips.
Resident transport service
The resident transport service provides car transport to older residents and those with disabilities who require individual assistance to attend medical appointments when mainstream transport is not suitable. A team of dedicated volunteers provide the transport.
Bookings can be made for regular, ongoing or occasional medical appointments. If required, the volunteer driver can wait with you at the appointment.
A fee per kilometre and associated parking costs are payable directly to the volunteer.
