Jump Cut

The Jump Cut category features short films, animations and documentaries created by 13-25 year olds.

This is a compelling documentary about James Mc Cready–Bryan, who sustained a serious brain injury after being assaulted by youths in Melbourne. The film reveals the tragic circumstances surrounding James’ condition and how his life has been so drastically altered. The documentary was created for the James Mc Cready-Bryan Foundation to help support the aims of the foundation, especially raising awareness among young people about risk taking behaviour as well as alcohol related violence. Tonight’s screening is especially poignant as it is James’ birthday and the anniversary of the event that forever changed his life.
