Support for parents, carers and mentors
Evening ZOOM sessions are provided for families who are raising children and young people.
The sessions are presented by well regarded professionals in the sector and aim to provide parents, guardians and carers with current information and strategies on topics such as kindergarten and school readiness, resilience, body safety, raising girls, raising boys and digital savvy families.
2022 Sessions are free or ticketed at $12.25 where stated. Registration is required.
Bayside presents - Deirdre Brandner
To support parents, carers and mentors of children aged under 12 years old, Bayside City Council presents four comprehensive information sessions in the latest Positive Parenting series with the highly respected child Psychologist Deirdre Brandner.
Deirdre is skilled in working with children who experience social, emotional and academic difficulties.
These sessions will cover:
- Worry and anxiety: how to help. 24 August, 7-8pm (This session has ended)
- Building resilience and managing emotions. 21 September, 7-8pm (This session has ended)
- Parenting challenges: all the tricks. 26th October, 7-8pm
- Setting your child up for success. 23rd November, 7-8pm
Cost: $12.25 per session.
