Request an extension of time for a planning permit
An extension of time for a permit provides you additional time to commence the development or additional time to complete the development. This is ordinarily the case when you have had unexpected delays (i.e. finance).
To complete this form you will need
- A copy of the certificate of title and register search statement (no older than 90 days) - available from Landata website
- A copy of the planning permit
- A valid Visa or Mastercard
You may also need:
- A photograph of the site
- Written consent from the landowner
Has the use or development started?
You must apply before or within 6 months after the permit expiry date.
Has the development started but the permit expired?
You must apply within 12 months after the permit expiry date.
There is no opportunity to appeal to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal if an application is made outside of these times.

20 MB size limit for this form
The total size limit for all attachments is 20 MB per submission. If you would like to send more files, send them to planning@bayside.vic.gov.au quoting your property address. The total size limit for email attachments is also 20 MB.
