Apply for a Personal Trainer permit
Please read the documents below relating to the use of reserves for a commercial purpose:
Personal Training Locations
Not all areas are considered suitable for conducting group training. Sportsgrounds (with the exception of Trey Bit Reserve), the foreshore and locations close to residential fence lines are not suitable locations. If the area you request in your application is not suitable or if there is already a personal trainer in the same area, Council will contact you to discuss alternatives.
Fees
Each Personal Trainer Permit (also known as a Tour Operator Licence) covers a single financial year from 1 July to 30 June.
The fees associated with this permit is set by the State Government and as it is a flat rate fee no discount can be offered for applications made later in the financial year.
Personal Trainer Permits will cover groups of up to 15 participants, for up to 15 one-hour sessions per week with no more than 4 hours of use per day in any one location.
If you require more time or if you wish to train in more than one area you will need to apply for an additional permit which will incur an additional cost.
Permits covering the 2024/2025 Financial Year are $377.00.
