There’s so much information out there about how and why we should sort and manage our household waste that it can become overwhelming.     The ‘Windows’ art exhibition is opening on Friday 14 June at 26 Advantage Road, Highett, a showcase of the work of local artists Marian Hookham, Paul Anderson and Megan Hall. From joyous birdlife, to interpretive nudes, landscape, reimagined still-life and figurative portraits, this joint exhibition explores expression and creativity as a window into the journey of making art. Please join us for wine and cheese at either the Opening night or our Music Soiree on Saturday 22 June 2-4 pm.

    Join us at Sandringham library to explore how to write compelling essays and stories, particularly those that deal with the critical themes of age and agency. Saturday15 June is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day and, while this topic may be uncomfortable, it is of growing importance in our community, and provides an opportunity for us to learn and connect, as well as to harness the power of the written word.

    Attracting small birds to your garden - Gardens for Wildlife online workshop


    Gardens for Wildlife is a free program designed to inspire and encourage you to create habitat in your gardens and open spaces, nature strips, patios or balconies to support local native wildlife 🐦Seeing small birds visit our gardens is becoming less common but there are changes we can make that will encourage them back. The next workshop we are hosting in our Gardens for Wildlife program will discuss challenges faced by small birds in urban areas and different ways you can attract them to visit or nest.
