National Volunteers Week 2022
This week marks National Volunteers Week (16-22 May), an annual celebration of the fantastic contribution millions of volunteers make across Australia.
The theme of National Volunteer Week 2022 is Better together– which highlights the profound impact volunteers make in our community and acknowledges the power of volunteering to bring people together, build communities and create a better society for everyone.
Council supports over 350 active volunteers who collectively contribute more than 1,500 hours per month across key council areas including arts and culture, library services, aged and disability services, open space, environmental sustainability, advisory groups and committees and within the Corporate Centre.
