More courts for Bayside basketballers
Construction on four additional basketball courts, new changerooms and additional car parking in Tulip Street, Cheltenham commenced in January 2022.
The new facilities are being built adjacent to the existing courts in 2022. Bayside City Council has worked closely with local environmental groups to ensure the safety and protection of wildlife and trees in the design.
Bayside City Council is delivering this $9.1 million project in partnership with the Sandringham Basketball Association and is due to be completed early 2023.
Sandringham Leisure Centre will remain open during the construction and for the safety of the community and contractors, the rear car park will be closed for majority of 2022. We apologise for any inconvenience and recommend members and guests drop off participants and use car parking in nearby streets.
