New lease for Black Rock Life Saving Club
We’re proposing to grant Black Rock Life Saving Club a 21-year lease for use of the new Black Rock Life Saving Pavilion.
The Black Rock Beach Life Saving Pavilion is scheduled to commence construction in early 2023. The redevelopment of the pavilion will provide modern facilities for life savers and accommodate both the Club’s growing membership and the increase in visitors to Black Rock Beach.
The proposed lease will increase community use of the new facility through online booking systems. As well as this, the proposed lease also includes financial contributions ($250,000) from the club towards to the development of the new local life saving pavilion and a further contribution ($150,000) towards the fit-out of the pavilion.
Consultation on the proposed lease is open until 16 December 2022.
