This Girl Can - get active and try something new
#ThisGirlCan inspires girls and women to get active – however, wherever and whenever they choose, without being judged.
Bayside City Council is a proud supporter of VicHealth's This Girl Can - Victoria campaign which aims to encourage, motivate and inspire women and girls to get active and try something new. All Bayside women and girls are invited to get active and spring into This Girl Can Week, held this year from 9 to 15 October 2023. Why not start by trying a walking trail? From Brighton to Beaumaris, there are 17km of foreshore, cliff tops and beaches to explore by foot or on a bike. Explore these four coastal trails celebrating art, history, the environment and indigenous Bayside. You can also enjoy one of these 9 Bayside walks boasting interesting and leisurely walks through the streets, parks and suburbs. They are designed for people of all ages and levels of fitness. Each trail provides a suggested route, estimated time and distance, information about accessibility, and locations of public services and places of interest. This Girl Can, get active at homeIf you’re not sure about taking the first step or if you want to try an activity without leaving the house, join in with the at home workouts.
