Tjilatjirrin Reserve Community Garden

We’re establishing a new community garden at Tjilatjirrin Reserve, adjacent to the Sandringham Bowls Club, for local residents to connect and grow communal produce.

Works to prepare the site are expected to commence in the coming weeks and will include:

  • levelling the site
  • removing the kikuyu grass by non-chemical means
  • creating an accessible pathway linking the garden to the main reserve
  • installing a fence.

Once preparation works are complete, the site will be handed over to the Tjilatjirrin Community Garden Group committee, who will install, manage, and maintain the new community garden.

Join the garden
Members of the local community can register their interest to join the Tjilatjirrin Reserve Community Garden group by emailing the Tjilatjirrin Community Garden Steering Committee secretary, Martin Curtis on m.s.curtis@bigpond.com
