Autumn/Winter Permaculture Garden Planning and Planting with Deb Punton

Join Permaculturist Deb Punton in the R.A.W Australia garden to learn how to design and improve your Autumn/Winter edible garden. This will be an interactive workshop where we will learn about reliable Winter crops to incorporate into your patch to maximize productivity and ensure you have access to fresh homegrown food throughout the cooler months.

You’ll participate in planning and planting activities using our foodcubes in the R.A.W. garden to inspire what may be possible in your own patch.

During this hands-on practical workshop, we will plant out seeds and seedlings and explore seasonal crop selections, discuss potential pest problems and how to overcome them and have time to answer your site-specific gardening questions.

Participants will gain an understanding of seasonal gardening principles, practical skills for seasonal garden planning and management, and build confidence in implementing sustainable gardening practices

Please wear appropriate clothing for gardening and the weather including closed shoes and a hat. Please bring garden gloves and a water bottle.

This workshop is supported by Bayside Council through a food security grant initiative to provide knowledge about growing and preserving food and reducing waste. The price of this workshop represents a donation for the garden for administrative purposes, with the individual price for the workshop subsidised thanks to Bayside Council.

​Deborah Punton is a passionate Ecopsychologist, Eco-Art Facilitator, Environment Educator, Permaculture Educator, and Landscape Designer living in Melbourne. Deb utilises the transformative and healing power of gardening, education, and immersive Greensong events, projects, and workshops to inspire and nurture bonds between individuals and our natural world.
