Learn cyanotype photographic printing at Billilla Mansion

Cyanotype with drinking glasses and leaves
Jessica Row, Cyanotype with drinking glass and Cyanotype with leaves

Join artist Jessica Row at Billilla Mansion for a hands-on workshop making cyanotypes. Inspired by Mat Hughes’ cyanotype printed photographs now showing at Bayside Gallery's current exhibition Threshold.

This is an easy and fun way to make photographic prints, using sunlight and shadow. First developed in 1842, the process produces a one-of-a-kind, Prussian blue image. Jessica will lead you through the process to create unique artworks to take home, using found materials in Billilla Gardens. These beautiful prints will make the perfect hand-made gift.

Jessica Row is an artist who works primarily in printmaking. She has exhibited in Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney, including as a finalist in the Australian Stencil Art Prize.
