Write Smarter workshop with Lili Wilkinson

Award-winning YA author Lili Wilkinson will take participants through the process of planning a story - from coming up with a gripping idea, to developing character, to outlining a structure, to brainstorming exciting twists and reveals, and finishing with a satisfying ending.

Lili has written many brilliant books, including “The Erasure Initiative” and “A Hunger of Thorns”, which won the 2024 Premier’s Literary Prize for Young Adults. Lili has a PhD from the University of Melbourne, and is a passionate advocate for YA and the young people who read it, establishing the Inky Awards at the Centre for Youth Literature, State Library of Victoria.

Lili's latest book, “Deep is the Fen”, is released on 16 April by Allen and Unwin.
