Please do not attend if you have been overseas in the last 14 days, have been in contact with a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 case, feel unwell or are waiting on a COVID-19 swab result.
Influenza vaccine update
Influenza vaccinations for children between 6 months of age and up until age 5 are now available at our community immunisation sessions.
We can also offer vaccinations for those over the age of 65 years, and those between 5 and 64 years of age with an underlying medical condition.
Those eligible include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, pregnant women (at any stage of pregnancy) and medical conditions that put the individual at risk of severe influenza and its complications.
Are you aware there are vaccines available for private purchase that are not on the National Immunisation Program but are recommended by vaccine experts?
We have some of the following vaccines available for purchase and administer at our Community Immunisation Sessions. Vaccines can also be purchased from your local GP.
Influenza
- Influenza vaccine is recommended annually for anyone from the age of 6 months.
- Influenza vaccine is provided free of charge to all Victorian children aged 6 months to 5 years old.
- Children under the age of 9 years require 2 doses, 1 month apart, in the first year they receive the vaccine. Find more information at Melbourne Vaccine Education Centre.
- You can pre-purchase vaccines from us for older children who are not eligible for the free vaccine before attending a session.
- Influenza vaccines are now available to purchase online.
Meningococcal ACWY
- Provides protection against 4 strains of meningococcal disease, ACWY.
- Routinely given at 12 months of age from 1 July 2018.
- You can pre-purchase vaccines from us for older children or protection from 6 weeks of age before attending a session.

Meningococcal B
- Provides protection against B Strain Meningococcal Disease.
- Available for private purchase from your GP or a limited number are available via our website payments page, to be administered at our Community Immunisation Sessions.

Chickenpox (Varicella)
- One dose of chickenpox vaccine is provided free of charge to all children at 18 months of age.
- Two doses are recommended for the highest level of protection against chickenpox.
- You can pre-purchase vaccines from us for a second dose before attending a session.
- Can be given on the same day as the 12-month vaccines as a separate vaccine to the MMR vaccine or a minimum 28 days after any other live vaccine (MMR, MMRV).
