Responsible Cafes

We’ve partnered with Responsible Cafes to support local cafes through the State Government’s single use plastics ban.

Responsible Cafes is a not-for-profit program designed to support hospitality businesses to reduce their plastic waste.

The first 20 eligible cafes to sign up to Responsible Cafes will receive:

  • Educational resources on waste-reduction practices 
  • A dedicated Cafe Activator to help you implement these new practices 
  • A spot on Responsible Cafes website and map plus additional promotion
  • Help divert coffee grounds from landfill and compost the grounds  
  • Access to cheeky discounts from Responsible Café's partner suppliers.

The Responsible Cafes map recognises the cafes that take sustainability to the next level through their “Coffee Bean Rating”

Bayside is already home to businesses already signed up to Responsible Cafes.
