Bayside Libraries is expanding their services to promote sustainability, reduce waste and encourage resource sharing within the community with The Library of Things at Beaumaris Library.

This initiative encourages sustainable living practices and promotes the circular economy by providing community members with access to popular products that may be needed for one-off jobs but are rarely used afterwards.

From home appliances, electronics, and household tools, The Library of Things offers a variety of items for residents to borrow, fostering a culture of community sharing and environmental awareness. This is a free and sustainable way for the Bayside community to access items without the commitment of purchasing.

To access the ‘Library of Things’, community members must be a library member, register and complete an induction session at Beaumaris Library.
