Join BeachPatrol on World Ocean Day

On World Ocean Day, join your local BeachPatrol group to help maintain our magnificent foreshore.

Starting in 2009, BeachPatrol is a chain of volunteer community groups that give up one hour of their time each month to help keep the beaches cleaner and safer for the greater enjoyment of all.

There are four BeachPatrol groups in Bayside which you can join to help keep our glorious beaches pristine.

Council has supported this wonderful initiative through grants that allow groups to continue their fantastic work.

Each BeachPatrol group is defined by suburb, post code and T-shirt colour. Our Bayside BeachPatrol groups include:

Protect our bay!

World Ocean Day rallies the world for ocean and climate action on 8 June and throughout the year.

The day encourages people to effectively engage with the public, inform policymakers and unite the world to protect and restore our shared ocean and create a stable climate.

Bayside is home to 17km of beautiful Port Phillip Bay foreshore, which includes an important marine sanctuary at Ricketts Point.

Interested in contributing to the conversation effort in Bayside? Join the Marine Care Ricketts Point group and make an impact on our local community.
