Lighting up winter nights for dogs
Winter solstice is upon us but don’t let the longest night stop you from taking your pooch out for an evening stroll 🐶
Sportsground lights are on until 2 September 2023 to provide a safer place to exercise and socialise dogs at night:
- RJ Sillitoe Reserve, Hampton on Mondays, 5 pm to 8 pm (enter via Lawson Street)
- William Street Reserve, Brighton on Fridays, 5 pm to 8 pm
- RG Chisholm Reserve, Sandringham on Fridays, 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm (following footy training)
Please be responsible, respectful and safe when exercising your dog.
- Always maintain effective control
- Scoop the poop (and bin it) 💩
- Don’t let your dog dig (holes are dangerous for people and pets)
- Ask permission before approaching people or dogs
- Never let your dog run at or jump on others
- Put your dog back on leash if you need to.
