New foreshore access staircase at Gordon Crescent
An ambitious climb to deliver in Black Rock
UPDATE - 12 April: Minimal construction will take place at the Gordon Crescent foreshore staircase for two weeks starting on 26 April, weather permitting. The stairs will remain open during this time.
Beautifully framed by the surrounding vegetation, a new foreshore access staircase at Gordon Crescent will serve beachgoing visitors through ups and downs for many years to come.
The former staircase was at the end of its life due to the harsh coastal environment. The work to rebuild the staircase was completed prior to the busy summer season despite adverse spring weather and location on a difficult slope.
The stunning piece of foreshore infrastructure was delivered to the Bayside community ahead of the Christmas break.
