New lease for Brighton Life Saving Club
We’re proposing to grant Brighton Life Saving Club a 21-year lease for use of the new Dendy Street Beach Pavilion, currently under construction.
The new Dendy Beach Life Saving Pavilion is the centrepiece of a $13 million upgrade to ensure essential life savings facilities are fit for purpose and to improve the visitor experience at the iconic Dendy Beach and Brighton Bathing Boxes.
The proposed lease will increase community use of the new facility through an online booking system and also includes a financial contribution from Brighton Life Saving Club towards the development of the new pavilion.
Consultation on the proposed lease is open until 12 October 2022.
