Brighton library extended hours pilot program
Brighton library is now running a temporary pilot program to extend opening hours for three months from October.
Brighton is the only branch to trial extended opening hours currently, which will see the library open an hour earlier in the morning on weekdays to Friday 22 December 2023.
The temporary extended opening hours will provide many benefits for the community, including more space for students to find a quiet study spot, more flexibility for families straight from school drop off, earlier access to meeting spaces for people working remotely, and plenty of spots to pop in a bit earlier to read the paper.
Brighton library ran a three-week extended opening hours pilot in June this year to support students studying for exams.
Rated as the service with the highest satisfaction in Bayside by the local community, we wish to further provide members with the all the benefits of our libraries.
Brighton library’s new opening hours from Monday 2 October to Friday 22 December 2023:
Monday: 9am-8pm
Tuesday: 9am-8pm
Wednesday: 9am-8pm
Thursday: 9am-8pm
Friday: 9am-6pm
Saturday: 10am-4pm
Sunday: 1pm-4pm
Important library closure dates:
Friday 29 September
All branches closed for public holiday. Branch Out patrons can still access Hampton all day until 8pm. Hampton branch will undergo routine cleaning from 8pm - 10pm on this day and Branch Out will not be accessible during these times.
Wednesday 4 October
All branches closed for routine maintenance and cleaning. Hampton's Branch Out patrons will still be able to access Hampton on Wednesday 4 October.
