Creating a paw-fect dog park

Do you think our concept design to improve Wishart Reserve dog park will get tails wagging?

We’re planning to upgrade the secure dedicated dog off-leash area in Hampton East to provide a more enriching exercise and training space.

We’re seeking community feedback on our draft concept design, developed by a specialist dog agility landscape architect.

New design elements include a range of dog agility equipment, such as tunnels, weave posts, a bridge and hurdles to create an engaging space for all dogs to play, explore, and even learn some new tricks!

Other features include a new perimeter path, double gated entry to the fenced off-leash area, better water bowls and more native and indigenous vegetation in the park.

You can explore the concept design and provide your feedback via our Have Your Say website or at a drop-in session in the park.

Join us at Wishart Reserve on Wednesday 8 February 8am - 10am or Tuesday 21 February 4pm - 6pm to discuss the design with Council officers and the landscape designer while you enjoy a free coffee or gelato. We'll also have special dog giveaways for our furry friends.

Consultation on the concept design is open until 27 February 2023. Your ideas will help us paw-fect the design before construction commences in mid-2023.
